The new iPAC-12CS 12,000 BTU Console Split System and iPAC-18CS 17,000 BTU Console Split System combine powerful cooling with heat-pump heating, making them suitable for keeping rooms comfortable throughout the changing seasons.
A Floor-Mounted Alternative to High-Wall Air Conditioning
One of the key features of these new systems is their floor-mounted, low-wall indoor unit design. Rather than being installed high up on a wall like a conventional wall-mounted split air conditioner, the console unit is positioned close to floor level.
This can make a console air conditioning system a useful alternative where a traditional high-wall indoor unit isn’t suitable or desirable. For example, the available wall space higher up may be limited by windows, sloping ceilings, beams, cupboards or other features, or there may simply be a preference for keeping the upper part of the wall clear.
The low-wall format can also be particularly useful in rooms where the layout or design makes a conventional high-level installation difficult. The indoor unit provides heating and cooling from a lower position while retaining the benefits of a split air-conditioning system.
For customers considering air conditioning but unable to accommodate a conventional high-wall indoor unit, a floor-mounted console system provides another installation option worth considering.
iPAC-12CS – 12,000 BTU Console Split System
The new iPAC-12CS 3.5kW Console Split System is designed for rooms of approximately 16–23m², making it a versatile choice for a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
With a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU (3.52kW), the system can provide effective cooling during warmer weather while its heat-pump technology also provides heating when temperatures drop.

The indoor unit measures 794 × 200 × 621mm, providing a relatively compact console-style installation compared with some traditional air-conditioning configurations.
iPAC-18CS – 17,000 BTU Console Split System
For larger spaces, the new iPAC-18CS 5kW Console Split System provides increased capacity, with a recommended room size of approximately 25–35m².
The system delivers 17,000 BTU / 4.98kW of cooling capacity and up to 18,000 BTU / 5.28kW of heating capacity, making it suitable where greater heating and cooling output is required.
It includes many of the same features as the smaller system, including adjustable fan speeds, oscillating air vanes, a timer, air filtration, anti-mould protection, digital display and remote control.
The iPAC-18CS also carries an A++ cooling efficiency rating and uses R32 refrigerant. Its indoor unit measures 794 × 200 × 621mm, while the outdoor unit measures 805 × 330 × 554mm.
Designed for Year-Round Comfort
Unlike cooling-only air conditioners, both new iPAC console systems use heat-pump technology, allowing the same system to provide both cooling and heating.
This makes console air conditioning an option for customers looking for a single system capable of helping maintain a comfortable indoor temperature throughout the year.
The console format can also be particularly useful where a conventional high-wall indoor air-conditioning unit isn’t the preferred installation option.
